Position Summary:
Responsible for researching and resolving accounts receivable deductions and reconciling customer accounts, while working closely with commercial and operational resources to maximize cash flow and perform root cause analysis. Show ability to work directly with our customers and exercise independent judgment and discretion. Develop understanding of internal processes and materiality to make independent decisions on outstanding balances within customer accounts. Support initiatives that will improve DSO within Accounts Receivable.
Position Responsibilities:
Research, resolution, and processing of customer payment deductions.
Customer account reconciliation.
Cash application.
Monitoring A/R inboxes and following-up on customer requests.
Managing order hold screens as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
Three (3) to Five (5) years relevant experience required.
High competency with Microsoft Office, accounting software and databases.
Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Analytical thinking skills.
Progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Prior experience interacting directly with customers preferred.
Prior experience interacting with large retail customers preferred.
AP S4/HANA experience preferred.
Education and Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant field or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
