What we’re looking for…  

The Retail Associate Channel Manager assists in the management of go forward strategies for their specific customer or sales rep network. This role will utilize knowledge of the brand, buying process, products, and customers/channels to develop and execute strategies that grow our brand equity and sales. The incumbent of this role should be familiar with the retail channel, merchandising, category management, and project management.


Expectations & Accountabilities …  

  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies by specific channel that supports our strategic initiatives.
  • Responsible for the development and design of marketing initiatives that meet the needs of the specific channel customers and Oatey requirements standards.
  • Establish and maintain on–going relationships with Sales Rep networks and work closely to implement marketing plans that meet the customers’ and Oatey’s needs.
  • Collaborate with channel managers to drive retail integration with key retail customers by utilizing all forms of retail marketing - Displays, Promotions, Point of Purchase and Customer Websites.
  • Support new product launch efforts and drive commercialization process including marketing collateral, communication, training tools and related activities.
  • Work with Sales Rep network to enrich and grow customer specific retail sales.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project changes to achieve project outputs with the Retail Channel Manager & Product Managers
  • Assist in the development of customer presentations for line reviews, sales meetings, customer initiatives and product launches.
  • Create and Analyze sales data to assist Channel Manager, delivering product and category information to identify trends, opportunities, and key issues.
  • Assist in compiling new digital assets to submit to Sales Rep network and customers.
  • Support the forward-looking marketing calendar and Activities including in-market activities (tradeshows, training events, etc.), and conference calls.
  • Track competitive programs, market, and channel trends, to identify opportunities and/or challenges.
  • Travel with Channel Managers and Sales Managers, as required: 10 – 15%
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to be successful… 

  • 1-3 years combined in a channel, brand management, product/category management and/or merchandising role.
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment and interact with individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrate consistent ability to meet objectives on time and within budget.
  • Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, multifaceted, team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
