What we’re looking for…  

The Operations Business Intelligence (BI) Manager supports all aspects of data analytics for Distribution & Logistics while partnering with other functional areas to ensure analytics are viewed at an enterprise level. By developing, maintaining, analyzing, and effectively sharing information with internal stakeholders, this position influences Operations Strategies and helps maintain 3rd party service expectations.  The position helps hold providers accountable to meet or exceed Oatey’s service expectations for delivery, quality and other performance indicators. 

This position will conduct market research and studies on the international and domestic freight markets to ensure we maintain a competitive advantage.  In addition, will conduct market analysis to support the other functional areas to maintain relevant data to assist strategic owners’ needs.  Will be an active participant in Strategic Design for Domestic and International Freight and Distribution.

 

Expectations & Accountabilities …  

  • Creates and publishes internal dashboard for freight cost encompassing Import, Export, Air, Domestic (Transfers, Prepaid, and Final Mile)
  • Develops Landed Container Costing Model to all account for all known costs
  • Conducts monthly volumes analysis for all modes and recommends least cost alternates where appropriate
  • Completes audits of Import freight bills
  • SME in SAP Reporting used to gather and analyze data. Prepares summaries that show savings opportunities, spend, service levels, and other insights
  • Tracks and traces ownership of import product
  • Identifies process improvements and develops new strategies to find potential savings
  • Creates and publishes service metrics for all freight modes
  • Interfaces with Planning, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Distribution and Logistics
  • Manages future TMS integration
  • Owns QBR’s with Logistics Partners
  • Provides summary data for Distribution Scorecard, pick, pack, ship, volumes

What you’ll need to be successful… 

  • Five (5) + years’ experience analyzing large data sets, and creating dashboards within a Manufacturing environment focusing on Logistics and Distribution
  • Expert in SAP MRP / DRP / MPS / TMS / EWM in SAP software packages
  • Focused / detail-oriented work style producing comprehensive work
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • High competency level with Microsoft Excel to include the ability to generate pivot tables, utilize VLOOKUP functions, and analyze large data sets
  • Demonstrated Interpersonal / Collaborative skills and ability
  • Capable of investigating and analyzing information/data generating resolutions
  • Experience leading freight RFP’s
  • Associate’s Degree in business or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
