What we're looking for...

The Corporate Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and evaluating acquisitions aligned to the company’s growth strategy. The role will be focused on the front-end of the transaction process, and will work closely with the VP, Business Development and other key business leaders to prioritize and execute transactions.

Expectations & Accountabilities …

  • Develop, maintain, and prioritize a robust pipeline of acquisition targets across relevant end markets and geographies

  • Directly engage with business owners and sell side advisors to attract deal flow based on Oatey’s target criteria

  • Screen in-market opportunities and conduct the initial evaluation of prospective targets

  • Develop financial models and valuation recommendations

  • Research specific end markets, geographies and product categories

  • Assist in executing general due diligence activities

  • Operate with a team-oriented culture that reflects Oatey’s Purpose, Values and Vision

  • Spend approximately 10-25% of time traveling to trade events and prospective targets (domestic and international)

  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, accommodating international meetings and calls in differing time zones as required

What you’ll need to be successful…

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience

  • Self-discipline to prioritize and execute against a broad pipeline of potential opportunities

  • Professional presence to work with business owners and c-level executives

  • Ability to recognize underlying problems, interpret trends and condense large amounts of information into concise conclusions

  • Capable financial accounting and modeling skills with the ability to develop situation-specific financial analyses

  • Ability to understand complex market dynamics and competitive positioning at a global level

  • Strong writing, communication, analytical and presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under time constraints

  • Prior experience in transaction sourcing and execution

Qualifications that will set you apart….

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics equivalent experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • MBA (Preferred)
